Guard Evolution Control Panel

The Guard Evolution device is realised by Visa S.p.a specifically for the command, control and protection of the generating set. It has a 16Mhz microchip and a 240x64 Liquid crystal display with 320 characters. The device can easily work from -20°C to +70°C (21.6°F - 183.6°F) without problems. The stand-by consumption is 70 Ma typical. The device is equipped with microprocessor technology and is characterised by three fundamental aspects:

1. Clear communication with the operator
2. The capacity to automatically analyse the events which could be causing a fault
3. Complete electrical measurement

The Guard Evolution controlling panel is available in two versions. A manual and automatic version (AMF). The control panels can be connected via a serial port to a personal computer with the use of a converter and the necessary software for further configuration, monitoring and remote integration.

The large display is used to show the mains (AMF version only) and generating set's electrical parameters, engine parameters, instructions of use and a written alarm and warning messages. These messages help the technician make the correct diagnostic interpretations and find the most relevant solution for the fault. The alarm and warning message are visibly and audibly pointed out to the operator.

Keeping the battery charger separate from the electronic card assures perfect control of the battery's charge while maintaining excellent efficiency. The battery charger power is 2.5A. at 12 Volt for generating sets equipped with 12 Volt engines and 3.0A. at 24 Volt (The battery charger is 5.0A. at 24 Volt if the generating set's batteries are > 220Ah) for generating sets equipped with 24 Volt engines.

The Guard Evolution manual version can be equipped with the remote start function through software activation or it can be completely transformed into the Guard Evolution Automatic (AMF panel - for mains voltage failure) through the installation of an auxiliary electronic card (hardware integration) followed by the software activation.

The Guard Evolution Automatic panel allows the simple management of a generating set by determining (according to the a pre-set cycle) the start of the generating set when the mains fail, feeding of the user system and the shut off of the generating set when normal conditions return, all without the intervention of a technician.
